On A Mission...

Hey C1s! I think most of you have forgotten about the blog alr. Hope that you come and write for the blog to keep it well and alive. I want to encourage those who've not signed up for mission trip or are unsure if you're able to make it or not to sign up! Sign up by faith and see how god works in your life. Remember that you're honouring him by doing so. So i do hope that all of you would sign up and embark on this amazing discovery and growth with god.

Note: There will be a training on this saturday 28/8 from 10 to 1! So for those who're interested do join us.

Also Pray for your cell leaders, Malcolm and Jerry and your Sec 4 cell members, Joshua, Bo Mun, Jia Xuan, Jeeyen and Me! For we're all now under the grill of examinations and prelims! So do keep us in prayer!

Centralone: The 8th Post

I do not know about you but attendance has not been really consistent for the past months. I've noticed other than the regular few, a lot of our cell members are missing here and there. They are always coming and going. Exams may be one factor but we should be honouring God since our exams are now OVER! If you are one of those ones who are coming and going, you know what to do.

I think that we have to grow together as a cell and must really want it badly. Even for myself, I've realized that I've not been wanting and desiring for God that badly. We really need to desire and pursue God so dearly at all times. We have to grow!!! I believe that we will. It is time we step out of our comfort zone!

I don't know anybody is still reading this super dead blog that only now I'm still posting but I know God sees us and sees the need for growth. We cannot really just sit back anymore. WE must create that surplus that the Centralone of he earlier years had. Those years was such a surplus that it led to the birth of Central 2 and then Central 3. I believe that we can even create a larger surplus and bring more to christ! Let us make that miracle happen!

I know to many, exams maybe over but we've got pretty bad grades. I've had mine but I still thank God for bringing me through and teaching me how to grow strong in my walk of faith. I'm still learning and I want to know a lot more. I'm not going to ask you to post anymore.I'm asking of you to share whatever God has asked you to. Be it during cell or on the blog.

Looking back, I've seen we'll always be centralone no matter where we go and we are always family.

The Fight of Faith

Hey C1s!

It's been a long time since I posted on our cell blog. Just wanna say that it's already day 10 of our prayer campaign! Wonder how have you been doing in your own spiritual walk with god?
As you all know of my problems in my personal life but I believe that this is the time where God wants to mold me even further and to teach me how to fully depend and rely on him. I know that many of us want to have a deeper intimacy with God. I know that many of us want God to answer the questions that has been daunting in our hearts.

I BELIEVE that if we really have that passion for him and have that desire and great faith, it's only a matter of time that God answers us. Remember even when you feel dry and out of sorts, if you felt like giving up and felt like as if God isn't with you...DO NOT BELIEVE IT! This is the thoughts of the devil. He wants you to be as far away from God. Continue to have faith and trust in him! He's always there all the time. He'll answer your prayers and even right now he is still watching over you.

Trust in him and pray like never before. Pray for breakthrough in all forms in terms of your life, your family, even for Centralone and for megalife and for Riverlife and for Singapore and even for the WORLD!

We are... the children of God! We can do all things through Christ! We will overcome!

Thank God that we've survived through and finally came into a brand new 2010!

Not to forget Gerlaine will be coming back to Singapore somewhere around this month!

Thoughts in My Mind...

Hi Centralone!
This is the very first time I am writing a blog entry obverseas in Hokaido! It is pretty cold and freezing in here. You have to wear at least 3 to 4 layers of clothings. What a Hassle. It's kind of a sad thing to miss church service and cell 2 times in a row! It is like part of your life taken away from you. Remembering the time where I had a family gathering on a saturday... It did not seemed that great of a celebratory mode for me. What kept running through my mind was church, service, cell... Perhaps it shows a sign of bonding with the church, a bond from God. I've realised that we always are sob busy with our daily activities that we might miss our own quiet time with God or would be far too tired to even set apart this time. Sometimes, we may just lie on our bed and doze off. However, God brings us closer to him via our weekend services or the time we serve. We really grew much as a cell, compared to the past. We've definitely have a greater passion and desire for God.

Thus, I think we should all take that step of faith like what Crystal said. We should move on to evangilising to others. That we should practice more often and to see more of our friends come to know christ. We should also try our best to attend services on time and come regularly despite all our academic studies and major exams. If we ever honour God and put him first, he in turn will honour you.

If you have not known, our beloved Crystal is going to move on from cell ministry to worship ministry at the end of the year where it is more of her calling. In her position would be Sean Lee Ah Lee who makes everything complicated. But He would be able to bring us to the next level of faith and growing with God.

That's really all for now and to end off, there's some prayer pointers.
1)My aunt is going through chemotheraphy and I ask of you all to pray for her speedy recovery and peserverance through all this pain.
2) Pray for Fidelia's parents to trust more in her so as to even give her some of her privacy especially for her own quiet time.
3) Pray for Ailin to be able to come back to church more frequently as her father placed a restrainig order on her.

If there's anymore prayers needed or any troubles you face, please approach the cell and feel free to share and we'll definitely lend you support and the prayers you need.

Central One! Ones in the eyes of God! One in the center of God's Attention.
Believe in what the Bible says! Believe in what God really want to speak to you about!

I felt God asking me to write this blog entry because I felt that God knows all our pain and struggles. In this time of exams and difficulties, somehow even after the exams, it doesn't seem to be a break or a relief at all. Instead, we might feel a lot more struggles and a lot more pain.

During my week of fasting and praying, I really cried and was really frustrated why God isn't really answering my prayers! I was really in agony when I see my family falling apart. The bonds as a family is no longer there, it is really a sign of madness and pain. Then came my grades for my finals, it wasn't really a wince bit of good at all! I flunked my chemistry and e-maths. I felt really hopeless, even my best few topics sucked to the very core. There was not really a good thing about the final year exams. In fact the finals had been the worst exams of my life! My parents were expecting me to score A's and to even do better than that. But what can I do? They think that everything is so easy and so easy to score. Maybe, I didn't revise enough but I know that I did put in alot of effort in it.

Especially My egoistic father, who only knows how to say " You see, so arrogant!" He thinks that I did not put in effort at all. I think he's incredibly stupid and retarded. As he only knows how to say that about people but never looks at himself. I might let my anger overtake me at one moment but that is how I truly felt for the past few weeks. Then comes to my maid who thinks that she's so great, she's been shouting and yelling at my 2 sibling, day in day out. She refuses to iron my aunts' clothes because they forgot to buy her breakfast that they usually do when they're out in the market. Even though there is food at home! I mean what kind of a person is she. It has been truly a tough time for me, even to survive in this family. Most of the times, I might need a break or somewhere to escape from this family for a long time. It was tough for me to survive.

It has been grueling and tough for me. I might be put through the test and so will many during this period. Perhaps, this is what God want me to go through when I asked for moulding. Though it may be tough, but this is the period that I really want to seek God even more, to even really trust him more. Without him,I might even be in a mental hospital by now!
I felt that many of us may go through a lot of problems in our personal life, family or friendships. Be it anything, we've gone through alot. The devil tries all this to even separate us from God but God will turn things around to our benefit. Let us grow stronger and keep praying for God's presence and God's blessing. I believe that God will come to us.

Also, to keep in prayer Jerry, Malcolm and Fidelia, not to mention Ailin! All four of them are taking their O Levels this year. Let us pray for the best of their academics! Especially during this period where they experience fatigue, tiredness or even frustration. Let us pray together as a cell for them and for the Lord to empower them with the Holy Spirit! Let's keep them in our prayers and for them to continue growing in the Lord even in the business of their studies.
Let us continue to trust in the Lord for he will make our path straight! Let us also share our own experiences as a cell with others so as to even pray for one another and encourage each other. My journey may be tough but it can be made better with you guys and God!

Look Up- A message of Hope

Hi again Centralones!

It's been a long time ever since I wrote my last blog entry. To begin with, I know that almost all of your exams are over but continue to keep Fidelia, Jerry and Malcolm in prayer as their O Level starts in 7 days time! It is indeed time to celebrate after so much of hard work put in to the Finals. So I suppose that you do not have anything else on so no excuse for not coming to church. It may be tough to come from such a long way from one end of Singapore to the other but it is all worth the while for our Lord Jesus Christ! Remember if you have any thoughts or troubles, you can always share during cell. After all, a cell is one big family.
And some updates on Gerlaine: She's doing pretty well there with her friends and they even went to visit a prison museum and casino and did ice-skating. She's having quite a lot of fun there. You can check her photos on FaceBook.
Finally, let us pray with one united voice for the nation and the world. Where almost everywhere is sickness and disasters and that the loss of many lives. We should pray for the lord to guide them and even comfort them. Also let us pray for the salvation of our friends and families. In this time of uncertainty, you can feel in your lives that the devil tries to rob our happiness and tries to bring us down. Let us not be discouraged and rise to the occasion. With God, we're overcomers!

awesome worship:D
like what sp said, i believe that as we engage our entire being in worshipping God, we can break whatever barriers that's stopping us from bringing our worship unto God to a whole new level.
we're not gonna just worship Him from the outer courts, but we're gonna enter into the inner courts.
i'm sure all of us can feel that happening already, and God's pleased with our worship!
so let's not just stop here and wait for another worship encounter service to take place before we really put our hearts, minds, bodies and emotions into worshipping God.
let's make every service a worship encounter with God!
secondly, after what caleb shared yesterday, i think he really needs our support in prayer.
he's always reminding us to keep people in prayer(like the few of us taking o's) so i think it's time we remember him in our prayers too.
haha okay, i was actually supposed to be studying now, so i'll keep this post short!

It has been a long time since someone has posted something on the blog. To all cell members out there: For Goodness Sake Update More Often Lah! You know how dead is it.
Share your own experiences on the blog or anything or even prayer requests. Let this blog be more active. Don't be afraid to share. Open Up! Let us grow even deeper as one cell even to be closer to God. Even in this time of uncertainty and troubles, we should stay strong as a cell. Even if it is a normal service. Let us pray together and look forward to salvations for many. Also let's pray for each other for the upcoming exams SOON! Also keep in mind Fidelia, Jerry and Malcolm for they're taking their O's soon. Hey Centralone!

tomorrow's the big day! The Birthday of our church! U know that it is only a young teen age 18! I truly wished the best for the church, church leaders and even for us, God's children. That we'll move and grow as a church and even to rise to greater heights to glorify his name by bringing more and more children to know God. Let us all be motivated and be courageous to share the gospel to them and invite them. Pray for them and for God to guide them too! We must step out of the comfort zone and really take that step of faith. So bring them for the upcoming Spacial Youth Service during September. Centralone, if you have anything to share or any prayer requests, share them out loud for us to hear and know that we will be there for you and so is Jesus. Do not hesitate to share!

And also I think this song Desert Song is a very meaningful song especially relating to today's context where we are facing a time of uncertainty and how we should still trust in the Lord and bring him praise and he'll guide and provide. Let us surrender our all to him and He'll make things right.

Gd Day Centralones, the Anointed Ones!
We've just celebrated our Nation's 44th B'Day. Most of us would be either relaxing or frantically studying especially for our oncoming and nerve-breaking exams. However, no matter how busy we get, we still have to set aside time for the Lord. As you've heard from Crystal, we have been united and closely bonded and it is time to take on the next level. Before that, I have to commend our dear friend Joel who brought a new friend to our church last week. I think that he had done a great deal by inviting people to church. Let us all pray that she'll continue to come and attend our church service. Joel has proven to be a good example and one to convey Crystal's message. We should be reaching out to more of our friends and peers and not to keep the Gospel to ourselves. It would be a joy to share the word from God to many of our friends.

Another concern is some of our cell members are not coping well with their studies and some even missing cell for a long time. In fact most of us aren't coping well with our studies. Let us pray hard and seek the Lord to guide us not only in our spiritual growth but also our academic studies. Some are taking O level this year and most of us are taking our finals in October. Let us pray for each other each day!
Let us keep in mind Ailin, Fidelia, Malcolm, Jerry who'll be taking their prelims this month. Let us also keep the rest of us in mind who are also studying for our finals soon.

I've also noticed that Justin, Jolene, Elias, Evans, Merissa and Faith has not come for cell for a long time. I'm sure they all have valid reasons. Be it studies or something else, let us pray for them. Like Ailin, she had been restricted to go to church due to O levels and Elias too is busying studying. Let us too keep them in prayer.

Also: There would be our church's 18th anniversary the following saturday I suppossed. So start inviting and order your tickets from Jee Yen.

What U're Doin'

Hi Centralone! I've noticed still no one has posted up anything ever since the birth of the new layout except for Fid and Dusk. SO I'm going to share with you my past experiences for this entire week...It started out on a very stressful monday when I had 2 boys supposedly to also participate in a Drama Competition however they were QUARRANTINED! I got really stressed up as there is only like 2-3 days before the competition! Then I had to practice with whatever I had, I called in another 2 boys who had suited the role. The sad thing was that they were unwilling and gave me attitude problems. I was really obstructed by so many obstacles. I prayed to the Lord Hoping to get an answer or a way to solve this problem. I was waiting...and waiting...still waiting....And still no answer. I was quite disappointed. The next day, My drama teacher told me that another boy was down with High fever. Finally and Unfortunately, we had to withdraw from the competition:(
But the good news is we are to perform for the National Literature Festival which gives us ample time to prepare. Yah God! He made out of even the worst situations to be something beneficial. Turns out He really answered our prayers afterall! So Keep Praying!

isn't it an honour, that out of all God has created, He has chosen us to worship Him?
i realise that many of times i take that call to worship for granted.
just yesterday during service, dr bekker gave an altar call.
and if you remember, he prophecised over many.
and i've a confession to make(don't kill me please).
last night i kept asking God why it wasn't me, cos i've always longed to be used in a mighty way by Him.
and i've been asking God what my calling is since long long ago, yet He hasn't answered me.
i felt quite upset, but i just went to sleep.
then just this morning, God called me into His presence to worship Him.
and i can safely say that nothing compares to ministering to the heart of God.
He showed me just how amazing it can be, it's like a wonderful privellege.
it's the first and primary calling for every single one of us, like what dr bekker said.
but the simplest truths that are thought to be "understood" are often taken for granted.
but i thank God for reminding me that down at His feet is really the most high place.
and there is no higher calling, no greater honour.
yeah so i believe that all of us need reminders sometimes, so i decided to share this.
